  This portable scanner is a real space saver! It is compact, solid. It is very easy to install (on Windows and Mac) and does perfectly its job. Especially don't buy it if you have a lot of books to scan, because this is not a flat bed scanner. Investment that is worth the price. This is my second CANON scanner, the previous one worked for more than 5 years and still works, just I wanted a scanner faster and I'm really not disappointed. It does the job quickly, silently, and how effective it can be power only by the USB. Really great. Easy Installation under Windows XP in adhering to the installation guide (install the driver before you connect the scanner : RTFM as say our friends in the anglo-saxon countries (read the fxxking manual) ;-) device operation is very simple, good result for this type of device, excellent price at Amazon, I was down to 500 slides to scan, it is done. I hesitated between 2 or 3 stars. Pros : very fast delivery/possibility of connecting (electrically) directly on the computer or autonomously with a plug provided (English + adapter French)/recording on SD card (not supplied) (it is good, no software to install). When the scanner is plugged in on the computer, so you can see the contents of the SD card and therefore copy and paste if you désirele against : a manual, translated by a translation software, sometimes incomprehensible (example : 5M or 10m can be chosen after entering the manual subordinate resolution.... glups!!!.. in French : you can choose the resolution 5M or 10M in the menu) - but above all, the quality of the image is not terrible even in 10 M.

Conclusion : not recommended if you are looking for the same image quality as your slides.. Regular use. Small footprint on the desktop. Fast. No bug. Only downside, the scan of the photos. Definitely not suitable. Easy to use.. even for a very amateur in it. we pass in PDF or Jpeg format and the other very easily. Very good material. This scan affordable is an effective tool for the amateur photographer. I recommend it therefore. It is also very nice for Scan desktop. happy with the product. a manual in French would be desirable but not essential. I can only recommend the site. Essential product for a need recurring scan. Note, however, the wifi function works with a mobile or tablet, but not with a computer that has the connection wired is a must, it's silly! Otherwise perfect functioning for use pro, semi-pro. I have not yet managed to use my scanner... my P. C. refuses to install... I am looking forward to the visit of a specialist... what I am not, alas... My only desire : to scanner of old photos from negatives 6*9...

This is great if you are an avid photographer and know how to work imaging products. There are way too many features for the average person and it's tiring trying to run through the manual if you want to simply scan the negative without all the other fru-fru stuff.   Each time one tries to scan, the contraption reverts back to the old settings on where to store the image. Much too complicated. Not that happy with the set up and workings, but when you can finally get it to work, the scanned image comes out fine. I don't recommend it unless you are someone who wants to do a lot of fancy editing and touch ups with your photos.. The best, non-dedicated. Very good image quality. A bit slow, normal for a non-specialized for this application. Still a great scanner standard A4Really great. A report Quality/Price is remarkable. The scanner is quick to implement. The software comes with an easy-to-use. The dpi offered are more than enough if one wants to keep its media on digital media. Print 20*30 made by scanning a slide/a néga. A small flat on the implementation of each scan. The door néga is a little "weak" and the establishment of the bands is sometimes hazardous.. and It is a shame. The rest is good. It is quick, efficient, silent. I don't regret to have buy. For a use well-informed amateur or semi-pro, it suits perfectly.

  Not only the product was delivered before the announced date, but it is, in every point of view, consistent with my expectations, indeed, it is appropriate perfectly for my needs.. The product appears to conform to the description and the comments. I was able to convert some old slides. The documentation is a little brief. The quality seems at first consistent with my expectation. The CD contains the pdf documentation and a software in Windows version only (Zoner PhotoStudio 12 according to the label), nothing for the Mac. No problem though to load the images into IPhoto. This product is very convenient when it works properly. Let me explain it does not all the time! The notice indicates that it is necessary to press 2 seconds on the "power" to turn on. But in fact it is 4 seconds, sometimes 8, other times 10... plus when I insert the microSD the device will turn off and not turn back on after some manipulation (remove the batteries, replace the batteries, remove the MicroSD card, reinsert, etc.). The batteries are new the problem is not there. I am very satisfied. Very good price/quality ratio. Time to work a little long in high resolution, but simply very largely to my needs as an amateur. Small point could be better from my point of view : the support film is designed in such a way that it is difficult to replace the slide that was positioned without removing the entire frame. This remains a simple operation. Congratulations to Amazon for the transaction, delivery very fast, good packaging, product conform to the pub.. I was looking for a scanner that is inexpensive and effective. This device suits me well because it is space-saving, easy-to-use with automatic functions from buttons on the front panel. Function Twain to work for example with photoshop is OK. In conclusion : inexpensive, easy-to-use and efficient. Super scan, but unfortunately I have to work to feed the family, even on vacation! Crazy not? Good super scan easy-to-use, I appellle Genghis Scan! He's so good at his job.
